How to get an international computer certification

Enrolling and completing your ICDL certification follows an easy process. Here's how to move from start to finish:

• Start by completing an online Enrollment Request Form, or call or visit one of the authorized Training and Testing Centers.
• Receive acceptance into the program from your Training and Testing Center.
• Complete payment to your Training and Testing Center. Your testing costs are provided free of charge. View other cost information.
• Select your learning format: online, CD-ROM or classroom instruction.
• Complete the skills pre-assessment for each of the seven course modules.
• Depending on your current skill level, you may do one of the following:
• Complete the self-study courses designed to prepare you for the test modules. Learn at your own pace using the online or CD-ROM formats. Or, take the instructor-facilitated training courses when offered at your Training and Testing Center.
• If your pre-assessment scores are high, you may elect to bypass the course study materials and take the assessments when offered at your Training and Testing Center.
• Successfully complete four of the seven ICDL test modules (each approximately 45 minutes) to receive your Starter Certification. If you like, you can track your assessment scores and course completion online.
• Successfully complete all seven test modules in any order within two years to receive your Full Certification.
